Grammar Foundations Level 1 – Schoolio Grade 4 Language

Start the year with a strong foundation in sentence mechanics. Grammar Foundations Level 1 focuses on sentence types, subject-verb agreement, contractions, and apostrophes. Students will learn to build and revise sentences with clarity and confidence.

Students will:

• Identify and use declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences 
• Understand and apply subject-verb agreement 
• Use contractions appropriately and learn to spell them correctly 
• Add apostrophes to show ownership and create compound contractions 
• Proofread and edit sentences for grammar, punctuation, and meaning 

Recommended for ages 9–11 | Approximately 4 weeks of instruction
