Students will:

• Identify and use the five primary verb moods: indicative, imperative, subjunctive, conditional, and interrogative

• Differentiate between simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences

• Recognize and apply sentence purposes: declarative, interrogative, exclamatory, and imperative

• Analyze dependent clauses functioning as nouns, adjectives, or adverbs

• Practice sentence rewriting, editing, and paragraph construction for tone, clarity, and fluency
