This unit focuses on strengthening paragraph construction and fictional storytelling. Learners will review how to build strong paragraphs using the “hamburger” model, then transition into writing their own fictional story complete with characters, setting, conflict, and resolution.

Students will:

• Learn to write focused paragraphs with strong opening and closing sentences 
• Use graphic organizers to structure fiction stories 
• Practice drafting and revising their own creative writing 
• Build confidence through creative expression and storytelling 

Recommended for ages 8–10 | Approximately 3–4 weeks of instruction depending on your pacing
