Master essential communication skills with Paragraphs and Speech Writing, a two-part Schoolio unit. Over four weeks, students will learn to write structured paragraphs on a single topic with smooth transitions, then shift their focus to writing and delivering a personal speech with strong organization and presentation skills.

Students will:
Review paragraph structure, including introduction, body, and conclusion
Write multi-paragraph compositions on a single topic with transitional sentences
Brainstorm, plan, draft, and edit using graphic organizers and structured outlines
Understand the key elements of speech writing: hook, purpose, connection, body, and conclusion
Write and memorize a personal speech based on a real event or topic of interest
Practice oral presentation skills including eye contact, posture, and voice control
Present their completed speech to an audience

Each week includes a clear writing schedule with brainstorming, writing, editing, and final presentation steps, along with sample prompts and guided practice.

Recommended for ages 11–13 | Approximately 4 weeks of instruction depending on your chosen pacing
