Grammar Foundations Level 1 – Schoolio Grade 5 Language

Master the basics of English grammar with Grammar Foundations Level 1, a Schoolio course designed to strengthen fundamental language skills. Through four structured weeks of lessons and activities, students will build a solid understanding of key grammar concepts that support strong writing and communication.

Students will:

• Identify and correctly use common, proper, and compound nouns 
• Understand the difference between transitive and intransitive verbs 
• Recognize and use adjectives to describe nouns and adverbs to describe verbs 
• Compare using comparatives and superlatives, including irregular forms 
• Build vocabulary through the study of prefixes and suffixes 
• Differentiate between independent and dependent clauses 
• Identify and create simple, compound, and complex sentences 

Each week includes direct instruction, examples, and guided practice activities, with a focus on applying grammar skills in clear, engaging ways.

Recommended for ages 10–12 | Approximately 4 weeks of instruction depending on your chosen pacing
