Schoolio Learning is an innovative education company. We remain dedicated to helping students achieve their very best education, through a straightforward, inclusive curriculum. We offer a complete learning program from Kindergarten to grade 8. With the four core subjects: Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. We started with a focus to support homeschooling parents and in 2022, we want to help students attending school full time, hybrid or virtual with our unique Schoolio After School tutoring program.

We are currently looking to add several, certified teachers to our team. To be a Schoolio tutor, you must have a passion for children and education – while also being professional, reliable, energetic, experienced and comfortable with virtual tutoring.

Successful candidates must:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree (either complete or in progress).
  • Candidates must have experience working with children.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills in English. (French Bilingualism is welcomed).
  • They must also be capable of competently tutoring students in at least one of the Four Core Subject areas at multiple grade levels.
  • Have a suitable at-home set up for the meeting and tutoring virtually. This includes: A webcam, microphone, and private space to work uninterruptedly while with students.
  • Provide a clean CPIC background check and vulnerable sector screening.

Preferred but not required skills of tutors needed:

  • Comfortable in tutoring multiple subject areas at all grade levels. Up to and including grade 8 and grade 9 prep.
  • Experience working with students who have various learning or behavioural challenges.
  • Some experience in virtual teach

Schoolio Afer School requires weekday availability between 4:00pm and 8:00pm, and Saturday’s during the day. You will have the option to choose your availability and make your own schedule. But you will be expected to work a minimum of 3 hours per week. And to maintain a schedule as set up between the student and Schoolio Learning at the time of sign-up. You will be using Schoolio’s curriculum kits for your lessons. You are welcome to enhance the lessons, but the core lessons will follow Schoolio’s Canadian curriculum kits.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with student online at regularly scheduled intervals to provide educational support in any needed subject area, doing so to help students understand key concepts.
  • Supporting students with homework, assignments, and test prep when needed.
  • Creating and preparing materials pertaining to the needs of the student.
  • Familiarizing yourself with Schoolio Learning content at the student’s working grade level. To ensure continuity of educational standards and instructional techniques.
  • Tracking the progress and success of students and reporting regularly to clients (parents) and the Schoolio Learning team.
  • Tutors are responsible for tracking sessions and prep time and invoicing Schoolio Learning as per the contract.


Minimum of 3 hours per week, maximum to be determined.


Starting wage is $15-20/hour with commission incentives and performance bonuses

Contest Terms and Conditions
This contest is open only to those who are aged between 10 and 15 years as of the date of entry. The contest is only open to legal residents of the United States or Canada and is void where prohibited by law. The child must be signed up for the contest by their legal guardian. Employees of Schoolio, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
Agreement to Rules:
By participating, the Contestant (“You”) and the Contestant’s legal guardian agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Schoolio as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Contest.
Contest Period:
Entries will be accepted online starting on [start date] and ending [end date]. All online entries must be received by [end date at time].
How to Enter:
The Contest must be entered by the legal guardian of the participant using the online form provided at Entrepreneurship 2023 by 11:59pm EST on July 31, 2023 and final submissions must be sent via no later than 11:59pm EST on August 25, 2023. The entry must fulfil all Contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Schoolio.
The Winner(s) of the Contest (the “Winner”) will receive $1000, a one-year subscription to Schoolio Digital, and branded merchandise to be decided by Schoolio. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by Schoolio. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at Schoolio’s discretion. The prize is non transferable. The prize must be collected by the legal guardian of the Winner. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the Winner’s legal guardian.
Winner Selection and Notification:
Winner will be selected under the supervision of Schoolio based on their sole judgement. The Winner’s legal guardian will be notified by email within fifteen (15) business days following selection of Winner. Schoolio shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information.
Rights Granted by You:
By entering this contest (e.g., photo, video, text, etc.), You understand and agree that Schoolio, anyone acting on behalf of Schoolio, and Schoolio licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Contest, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
Terms & Conditions:
Schoolio reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Schoolio’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Contest.
This Contest is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without respect to conflict of law doctrines.
